## What is IOTAI?

IOTAI is an AI consultancy and automation consulting firm headquartered in Sydney, Australia. Founded by Gerard Buscombe, we combine Retool and n8n expertise, and we pioneered the Managed Intelligence Provider (MIP) model in the Australian market. Unlike traditional MSPs that manage IT infrastructure, a Managed Intelligence Provider deploys, optimises, and maintains AI agents, intelligent workflows, and automation systems as an ongoing managed service.

## What is a Managed Intelligence Provider (MIP)?

A Managed Intelligence Provider (MIP) is the next evolution of managed services. While traditional MSPs manage servers and networks, MIPs manage AI systems, intelligent automation workflows, and AI agents. IOTAI coined this term in the Australian market to describe our ongoing service model: we don't just build AI solutions — we deploy, monitor, optimise, and scale them as a fully managed service. This includes AI agent lifecycle management, workflow performance monitoring, prompt engineering, model selection, and continuous improvement.
